LET THERE BE PEACE

Just pause for a moment... Think about the world we've always dreamed of... What if love became the law between us? What if peace could last forever? Imagine a world without violence, Without rushing, without so much pain, Where every word was filled with patience, And every touch was born from love. No weary hearts carrying heavy burdens, No lost souls searching for a way, Everyone united, hands together, Turning this whole world into one song. What if life meant more than money? What if no one had to beg? If every person saw another As someone born to love instead. As someone born to love instead. Chorus Listen, think, speak of love, Paint this world with brighter colors. Peace has come, believe it's true, The world we've always dreamed of is right here in view. Listen, think, smile today, Thank God for another day. Hand in hand, heart to heart, When love unites us, peace will fill the world. Peace is here... peace has come... The whole world needs more love. Peace is here... peace has come... The world we've waited for has finally awakened. Family gathered around the table, Faithful friends and genuine embraces, Less pride and more kindness, More compassion, stronger bonds. May no one be lost in indifference, May no one be forgotten along the way, May the common good become our faith, And may hope live wherever you and I remain. We don't need a perfect world, We need to learn how to care, Because every change begins within us, When we choose to forgive. Look... Smile... Give thanks to God... Life is a precious gift, And this world belongs to you as well. Look into the eyes beside you, See the beauty found in living. Maybe the world we've waited for so long Begins right now with me and you. Bridge (Piano, organ, and backing vocals) Don't wait until tomorrow... Don't wait for someone else to begin... If love is alive inside our hearts, There's still hope for this world to change. Final Chorus Listen, think, speak of love, Paint this world with brighter colors. Peace has come, believe it's true, The world we've always dreamed of is right here in view. Listen, think, smile today, Thank God for another day. Hand in hand, heart to heart, When love unites us, peace will fill the world. Listen... Think... Speak of love... The world we've always longed for... Is here... Right before our eyes...
